Quick Summary
Comparing Zoom to its alternative, LiveWebinar, is not easy for several reasons. Zoom has a completely different segmentation of various plans and subscriptions. Essentially, there are several distinct services within Zoom: Zoom Webinars, Zoom Events, Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Sessions, and Zoom Whiteboard. The choice is broad, but you always need to know exactly what you want and which functions will be useful to you because they differ depending on the plan. Therefore, it is not a comprehensive and multifunctional solution, unlike LiveWebinar, which offers simpler and, at the same time, more comprehensive plans.
For instance, if you want to host webinars for 100 participants, this is possible with the Zoom Events and Zoom Sessions options. However, you should know that these plans are much more expensive compared to the LiveWebinar offering. Specifically, Zoom charges $99 for 100 participants for the Zoom Sessions option and $149 for 100 participants for Zoom Events. In comparison, LiveWebinar charges $71 for 100 participants in Basic Plan and 84 in Plus Plan. It's also worth noting that the aforementioned Zoom options do not allow for meetings with more than 100 people. This proves once again that Zoom's plans are inflexible and, ultimately, simply more expensive.
For the purposes of this comparison, we have analyzed two of Zoom's plans: Zoom Webinars and Zoom One. They correspond most closely to the functionalities and purposes of LiveWebinar. But you need to remember that as a rule, to be able to use the Zoom Webinar plan, you must buy a Zoom One subscription first.
Regarding purpose, the Zoom Webinar plan is intended for those who want to conduct webinars. It is significant, however, that this product is only available for 500+ attendees. This makes it a poor option for those organizing webinars on a smaller scale. LiveWebinar is more flexible in this regard. It allows for organizing webinars for 25 participants in the cheapest paid plan. If you need more participants, you can always choose to have more. This makes LiveWebinar a more flexible solution that can cater to the needs of various organizers.
A further drawback of Zoom is that all participants, including the host, typically need to install the Zoom app to access the webinar. This can create a barrier for those organizing marketing webinars, as the need to download and install the app might discourage potential attendees from taking part in the event. Although joining a meeting from the browser is possible, this option doesn’t apply to all browsers, and seems a little bit more complicated. While Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers allow you to choose to always have Zoom application links open, this option is currently not available in the Safari browser. However, LiveWebinar is fully browser-based and accessible on all browsers. Users do not have to install any applications, which makes creating and joining a meeting easy and quick.
Moreover, you can also observe that Zoom Webinar is probably not designed for hosting marketing webinars. Tracking registration conversions is complicated and you cannot create CTAs (Call to Actions).
LiveWebinar, on the other hand, offers a broad set of options that enable you to sell webinars, easily earn money from them, convert leads into customers, and promote your content on social media. Features such as the advanced Summary Dashboard allow organizers to collect necessary information on registration rates and many other factors used in marketing. Additionally, customization options at LiveWebinar are vast, encompassing personalized emails, landing pages, and registration forms integrated into one tool.
